Grenada

I have been told to prebook tickets for the Alhambra. Can anyone reco the best site to do this. Is there any time frame that's better morning arvo night? There seems to be a variety of tickets for different things. Is it best to get a general admission ticket or specific areas?

How much time is a reasonable amount of time to allow for this visit?

Please note it is Granada. You should include the Generalife in the tour.

Suggest a general morning visit, if still available to you, as cooler in the morning.

We stayed very near the Alhambra and toured the grounds (only a portion is accessible at night) after dark one evening. That was quite beautiful. The next day we toured the entire site, including the Generalife. It took the better part of the morning and part of the afternoon. The tour was very worthwhile - the Alhambra is unforgettable. Depending on the time of year you are going, the morning is best as it can get very hot in the afternoon during summer months.

Go to the Alhambra's official site: www.alhambradegranada.org and find out about ticket sales there.

I'm glad I visited it during both the day and the night. Although only a small portion is open at night, few people are allowed in and when I was there, everyone was hushed. It was truly magical.
