Greetings from Italy!

Buon Giorno,

I posted yesterday under "Ciao". We"re here in Venice and its been great. Weather has been beautiful everyday. The big fashion thing over here is bowling shoes with a european look to them, so I bought a pair. Anyway ......we,re moving onto Florence, and tomorrow Greve and the Chianti area to drink some wine. Ciao!! Dawn

I agree about the bowling shoes! The other fashon trend that intruged me was the glasses the under thirty crowd wore. They are bright colors and pearlescent! Seeing a man wearing bright blue "bug" glasses really cracked me up. I wanted to buy a pair but we spent out time seeing the sights and wandering, but not shopping.

THe bowing shoes have been remodeled and everyone is wearing them. As for the glasses, Italians are always over the top with sunglasses. Drink some wine in Greve for me, I love the area!!

Dawn!

would be interested to see the new look. the old look in bowling shoes I thought was hideous. (why do they take your shoes at the bowling alley? like you are going to run off with some old pair of sweaty bowling shoes? UGH!!)

anyway, look forward to seeing you and hearing the stories!!

Beth

I suspect the "bowling shoes" are in the style of Campers, which were all the rage in NYC a few months ago. A lot of designers seem to be using that style with casual shoes.

We've heard about Greve and are interested in staying around that area also. Please tell us about the area.

I was just in Italy too. The bowling shoes are Campers and knock offs. The other trend that seems to have passed here but is still hot in Italy is the bowling bag (I guess to match the shoes).

I was recently in Italy and saw the bowling shoes everywhere. They are very cute.
