Hi Fodorites, just got in to A'dam, 'tis cold and overcast, but fun to be on European trains again. We will be here for the next 3 days, on a stop over from our safari in Kenya (review on the African messageboards). If anyone has a specific question I can try to find out for you. Our hotel Hotel Filosoof, is near Vondlepark and they are quite nice at the reception allowing us to leave our baggage there while we wait until check in time (our plane from Nairobi was in at 6 am) BTW taking a train from the airport to town was extremely easy even with jet lag, and costs only 4 euros for first class as opposed to 30 euros to take a taxi into town. Hi Thyra, could you elaborate on "cold and overcast?" Do you need a light jacket, a parka? Thanks and have a safe and wonderful trip!

LOL Dick, good advice! But sometimes you buy an hour of internet time, read all your emails, respond to everyone you want to, and you hate to see the rest of the minutes go to waste, so there's always Fodors : )
