Greek Islands-Which is your favorite?

I have 16 days island hopping, and I was told that is too much to cover four islands-Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and Crete. If you have to let one go, which one would you most likely choose.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

In what month will you be traveling? Sixteen days (15 nights) is a nice amount of time.

Mykonos is my favorite island, even though I'm not a nightlife person. I would split my time among Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete. It was a long time ago, but I remember taking a day trip to Paros from Mykonos.

Well, I just saw your other two posts asking the same question. September will be very nice. As the other posters have said, spend a minimum of three or four nights on each island to get anything out of your visit. You'll wish you'd stayed longer no matter how long your visit.

My favourite island is also Mykonos - so much to do and see. Santorini is a close second, followed by Crete. I haven't been to Paros so I can't comment, but I think those three islands would make for an unforgettable trip. I am so jealous!

Mykonos and Santorini would have to be on my list (many trips to both). Sip a glass of red wine for me outside the tavernas beside Little Venice. I would also choose Paros. A complete contrast, a 'soft' island, lush and covered in wildflowers in spring and ancient roses in June, unspoiled and beautiful, big and diverse enough to spend a number of interesting days. If you choose Crete, be ultra careful with the traffic which can be appalling, following no known road rules. Early autumn is delightful in the islands, but the last week of April and the first week of May, Greece and its islands turn into one magnificent garden of flowers and herbs before the early summer sun takes its toll. And you will experience the true islands before northern sun seekers descend.
