Greek Island Ferry: How many hours from Athens to Santorini?
We are researching the option of taking ferries throughout the Greek Islands. It seems that many of the morning flights are booked, and the later evening flights are available now. It may be faster for us to take the ferry to various islands?
Does anyone have a recommendation about the fastest possible ferry, the cost and the amount of time it would take to travel to and from these destinations:
1. Zakynthos to Santorini?
2. Athens to Santorini? Also, how far is the drive to Pireaus? We are trying to depart by 10 a.m., and get to Santorini by 2 p.m. in the same day.
3. Mykonos to Athens?

Hello there
1.Zakynthos to Santorini at least 10 hours.Propably better to go with the bus till Athens and then take the ferry.
2.Athens to Santorini 5 hours because it stops to other islands aswell. To get to Pireaus from Athens is about 20 minutes with not much of traffic
3.Mykonos to Athens about 3 hours
The fastest ferrys ar the Flying Cat ones or if you prefer it how we (the Greeks) call them Flying Dolphins
You can find info for Mykonos and the transportation at www.go2mykonos.com
