Greece or Italy for Easter week?

I am living in Stuttgart Germany and our family and another family wanted to travel somewhere interesting for the kids spring break from April 10-19th. The kids are 8,9 and two 11 year olds, 2 girls 2 boys. We were thinking of Rome or somewhere in Italy or Greece. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Just be aware that Easter in Greece is not the same time as Easter in Italy. Greek Orthodox Easter is celebrated as follows:2009 - Easter Sunday - April 19th
2010 - Easter Sunday - April 4th (same)
2011 - Easter Sunday - April 24th (same)
2012 - Easter Sunday - April 15th
2013 - Easter Sunday - May 5th
2014 - Easter Sunday - April 20th (same)
2015 - Easter Sunday - April 12th

Easter in the US (and Italy) is April 12, 2009.

I was aware of the difference in Easter weeks, thanks for letting me know though. I still need some advice on which way to go for that week in paticular. Thanks!

I would drive to Lago Garda and Gardaland for the kids. On the way home I would digress to the Val Gardena in the Dolomites and stay in Ortisei. If you need some culture, spend time in nearby Verona. Have fun!

Thanks bobthenavigator, I have not been to Garda in about 17 years. Is there much for kids to do there? What is Gardaland? Thanks again!

It is a theme park that kids love--if open that early--just Google that name.
