Greece in December Questions

Hello, I will be in Athens for 5 days in mid-december on my way to Asia. I have been to Athens once before. Any recommendations on quick trips from Athens which are nice in mid-december? Also, is santorini worth it in mid-december? I have never been there before. Thanks!

IMO, what would be "nice" depends on your definition of that term! You can check weatherspark.com for excellent climate data.

It also depends on how long you have for a "quick trip." If just a night or two, I'd consider Delphi or perhaps Cape Sounio. For 3 days, maybe Nafplio. I was deeply disappointed with Santorini, though I suspect a visit there in December would be better than most other times of year, just becase there would likely be fewer people -- at least if no cruise ships are there.
