this is the year for Greece !

Yes, so many people here in Europe were not so glad that Greece won, as they were glad that France lost (well, mostly the Brits, the Spaniards, Belgians, and such :) )

But, last night Greece won against the Czechs and are now going into finals with Portugal...

I was delighted to see Greece win - I always like cheering for the underdogs. Unfortunately I won't be cheering for them in the final though, as I have placed a bet on Portugal to win the tournament!!

every team i have tipped in this tournament so far has lost.

And I have tipped Portugal to win the final.

Good luck to Greece, but I think that I am not the only one to find soccer to be quite a dull game, but with some damn fine theatrical displays !

We had some Brits staying with us for the weekend. We saw the game on paid for view. My husband's relatives came from Greece so we were cheering them on and what a great game. It made our weekend even more special. We wish we had some money on the game. Congratulations to Greece!!!
