Greece early April 10- is it safe?
 

Hi All,
We have a trip planned to Athens and the islands for next week (1st week of April).... but I have heard some things from neighbors about the safety in Greece right now.... Do any of you have more information than the little bit I have heard from neighbors? We will be staying a short time in Athens and then going to the islands for the rest of our trip. Just a little concerned and wanted to see what my travel friends at Fodors knew... Thanks for the help!

Yes, it's safe and it's been confirmed that ferry services would not be affected by strikes.

Do they have a list of strike dates listed somewhere?

There will be no strikes.

Thank you for your response.... I think we will continue on with our plans. I have searched the internet for any major acts of violence and have not found any that would hender our travels or make us nervous to visit. Happy Easter!

I once heard from a neighbor of mine that he had been abducted by aliens (I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!) I also had a neighbor who on 9/11 got a gun and prepeared to shoot the invaders coming to our neighborhood. (The police took the gun, her daughter took mom too the local hospital)

All this to say... neighbors may not always be reliable sources of info as OP found out :)
