Greece - Croatia
 

Daughter and I are traveling solo next year, we leave June 16th to Naples where we will stay for one week. After Amalfi we would like to go to Greece and Croatia. Is this possible? Time isn't an issue as we will have 4-6 weeks to travel, we have not made our reservations back. BTW, we travel on a budget so we usually stay in apt and airbnb, no expensive hotels suggestions please.

Depends on what you want to see and experience! Naples and the Amalfi Coast can easily take 10 days. Greece can easily take 3 or 4 weeks. Croatia can easily take 3 or 4 weeks. And those estimates are for JUST seeing the highlights (as I define them) at a fairly rapid pace.

My recommendation is to get some good guidebooks, or consult them at your local library, and think about your priorities.

Yes, I'm going to get some books. We've been in Amalfi Coast twice, so we are going to stay just a week. Our tickets take us to Naples.

Getting between Croatia and Greece can be challenge, but with 4-6 weeks it shouldn't be a problem. There are no direct ferries, so you will need to find a flight, go back through Italy, or travel overland through other Balkan countries. My daughter and her fiancé did the latter in their Land Rover, but I have no idea the best way by public transport — it could be a real adventure!
