Greece Airport

I will be in Greece on Nov 7 for my honeymoon. I need some airport direction! We arrive in the middle of the night and take an Olympic Airways flight out at 7am to Crete.
I've heard there are separate terminals for international and domestic airlines. No where can we find where we need to go in the airport to find the domestic terminal. Can anyone give us directions? Can we walk? Are they connected and indoors or do we have to take a bus or taxi? HELP!

If my memory serves me correctly, it was about a 10-minute bus ride. Cost: about a $1. I recommend taking a taxi and the bus was a pain with luggage. We walked outside the terminal and waited for the bus.

I was just in Greece in September. We needed to take a domestic flight to Mykonos . We took the flight from the terminal we landed in and we were flying with Olympic. There should be an information booth in close proximity to the luggage pick up area, show them your ticket and they will advise you accordingly.

i think (not totally sure) that 1 terminal is for Olympic only and the second is for all other airlines. If you are arriving on Olympic you won't need to go to the other terminal. The previous advice sounds correct.

Wendy

Olympic Airways arrive at the West terminal from where connections are made with either Olympic Airways or Olympic Avation flights.

All other international airlines arrive at the East terminal.

At each unit the busstop for the airport transfer is immediately out of the main doors and to the left. A bus shuttle, service 093, operates between the East and West terminals usually every 40 minutes 24 hours a day.

You can of course take a taxi particularly if you have a lot of luggage. The taxi ranks are outside the main exits and to the right. You will be charged at chargeband 2 which is double the daytime rate.

Hope that helps.

Bill

I don't think anyone already said this, but the 2 terminals are completely separate buildings, I think on opposite sides of the runways. I think walking would be a nightmare. Take a taxi or the bus!

Paige you're absolutely right.

The terminals are indeed on either side of the runway and it's best not even to think about walking between them.

If I recall correctly the road used doesn't have any sidewalk in places and the distance is greater than you'd expect.

Bill
