Greece 9 day Itinerary help needed
 

Hi,

I'm off to Greece this September with a couple of friends and need some itinerary help. Can you give me your comments/suggestions?

Day 1: Bus ride to Nafplio from Athens
Day 2: Nafplio
Day 3: Head back to Athens, take flight out to Naxos
Day 4: Naxos
Day 5: Naxos
Day 6: Santorini
Day 7: Santorini
Day 8: Santorini - then fly out to Athens
Day 9: Fly out of Athens

Am I trying to fit too much in by adding in Nafplio? Should I take Nafplio out and just add more dates to Naxos and Santorini? I've been to Santorini and Naxos before, but never to Nafplio. I've been reading such great things about Nafplio, I wanted to add it on.

nafplio is definetly worth it and it's
only an hour + from athens,

syros in the direction of the catamarans
to tinos, paros, naxos and the cycladic islands
of which it is the capital is like nafplion in being quite elegant

I agree. An entirely manageable, enjoyable itinerary.

yes yes yes, do Nafplio.
BTW, the bus runs every hour on the half-hour. You get tickets at the Argolid window...they are reserved-seat.

TIP; try not to bus to Naplio on Friday afternoon, or back on Sunday afternoon or you'll run into a lot of traffic from Athenians going out/back for the weekend.

Otherwise, Sept is great. You can even catch a swim at the pebbly litle Arvenita beach on the far side of the Nafplio peninsula. Enjoy!
