Great Tavernas in Mykonos

Does anyone have suggestions for the best places to eat in Myonos. Will have six nights there so if there are places to go and not to go I would love your input.

Do you need information about tavernas in Myconos town or at beach locations?

Also, let me know please your budget for a meal as there are some very expensive places to eat and also some not so much. Also, your food preferences.

I will try and help.

Thanks
We are game for some expensive meals and also some not so expensive meals. We will mix it up. We are also willing to travel to a restaurant if the recommendation is there for a memorable meal. Thanks for the reply! We are staying at Pelican Bay.

Hello irecommend

I start with the not so expensive town restraurants.

Nikos: find the small blue chapel at the harbour front and you see small lane to Nikos. Famous on the island as it serves food cheaply and the food is OK. Very busy because of its prices. It's also very polpular to the pelicans so they may be running around your feet.

Kostas Restaurant: Located on Mitropoleos behind our church. Running now for more 40 years. Very, very good and traditional food. Can be busy but is worth waiting for. Not expensive.

Giavroutas: close to main street Mitropoleos. This is a favourite of our families. Very traditional taverna. Many locals use.

Antoninis: located on Manto Square. Another longtime restaurnt but importantly used by locals also. Good value and some days no tourists. We use here too.

More money

Sea Satin: beside windmills on water front. Specialises in fish. Very expensive but many people say is best restaurant in town

Katrine’s: on Dilou. People return here many times. Very good food but you pay much money.

Chez Marias: on Kalogera. This is a garden restautant very popluar with visitors but has high prices although many return visitors.

Philippi's: on Matoyianni St. Is expensive but serves very good home cooked food. I hear always their food comes from the owners own farm but I cannot confirm. I have not eaten here, it is too expensive for my family!

If I can give some advice. I do not know when you visit but there are many restauranst than run along the Venice area right on the waterfront. Most are expensive some, very expensive. To eat here you must do so when winds is calm and the evening warm. If the wind is medium to strong it will be cold even if they place their protection screens up.

Ok, if you want some details of restaurants at Platis Gialos please let me know.

Hello irecommend

I recommend only two at Platys Gialos but there are many more to find there.

The first is called Nikos. Good fresh food and much sea food. Is close to beach.

The second is called Manoula’s. I know the family and have had food there. They try always to sell only Greek food.

One other is Nammos at Psarou Beach. Expensive, but good.
