Great restaurants near the Eiffel Tower
We will be in Paris in early June as part of a tour. We have a free night and are staying at a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. We would love the chance to eat at a beautiful French restaurant. Any recommendations for your favorite restaurants in the area? Thanks!

Reed on Rue Amalie. Great food.

Le Florimond, ave. de la Motte-Piquet.

I've never eaten there but I have read and heard good things about Jules Verne on the Eiffel Tower as a special occasion restaurant.
I just ate at Reed earlier this month, the food was very good and the owner/chef is a charming French-Canadian. There's also Le Violon d'Ingres on Rue Saint Dominique. |
Le Violon d'Ingres, rue Dominique, Chef Christian Constant

We just went to Reed last week with a very discriminating group of six people. Tiny, charming place with stellar food. Everyone loved it. After dinner we walked over to the Eiffel Tower and the twinkly lights turned on just as we approached - magical.

Where, exactly, is your hotel? Tours often say "near the Tour Eiffel" when in fact is really isn't. If it is, there are loads of good restos in the 7ème. You're unlikely to get into Jules Vernes at this late date.

Jules Verne-in the Tower-excellent
|
One of our favorites, near the ET, is Le Clos des Gourmets, 16 avenue Rapp.
|
As StCirq said, it depends on exactly where your hotel is located, and also what budget you have, but how about Chez L'Ami Jean on rue Malar in the 7th, about 15 mins walk to the Tower.

The hotel is called the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel

I really do like Violon D'Ingres, and it isn't far at all from you--an eleven minutes walk: http://tinyurl.com/cq7afhw
What is really close to your hotel, too, is Le Casse Noix: http://tinyurl.com/brxojsa |
You guys are really awesome! Thanks for all the ideas
