Great Mayfair hotesl for under $200?

Does anyone know of any great hotels in the Mayfair area for under $200 a night? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be in London over Thanksgiving weekend.
B

The Millenium next to the Connaught (which is great, but over $200/night), is not great (as is the Connaught), but *is* about $200/night, and quite good! Ask for a renovated room. (Millennium group runs this hotel, but the British name may be different; I can't remember--call the 800 number in the US to check.

The Mews Hilton should have a reduced rate of around l30 pounds per night with breakfast for Friday, Sat. and Sunday. Call them directly. You can get the number from the Hilton 800 number is the US. It's small, with smallish rooms, but has a great location and service. It's one block from Park Lane, in back of the big Hilton.

If you're going to be in London for 5 nights or more, it might pay to rent an apartment. We did. It was the best thing we ever did. E-mail me for info.

If you're going to be in London for at least three

Remember that what is a "great" hotel is purely subjective - it all depends on what it is you are looking for and what is important to you. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Mayfair (the hotel mentioned by another poster as having a special for 89 pounds) for 3 weeks in July/August of this summer and enjoyed it very much. The room was large (by London standards), well-appointed, and well maintained. It was a much "classier" hotel than any of the Holiday Inns I've seen in North America. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The best thing about it was its superb location - on Berkeley Street, just around the corner from Piccadilly Street and the Green Park tube station. This made it extremely convenient for getting around London, as the tube station was so close. Also, many attractions are within very close walking distance - Green Park, Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, etc. There is also a Boots Chemist immediately next door, on the corner of Piccadilly and Berkeley, which we found to be extremely convenient (and the Ritz Hotel is across from Boots). There is also a Starbucks on the next street over - a must for my husband who has to have a good coffee (difficult to find in London) every morning or risk caffeine withdrawal. We would certainly stay there again.
