Great Italian in Paris
 

Not cheap, but excellent. Your host Sergio speaks english and will bring you a meal you'll never forget-- never mind the menu, just let him surprise you. My husband and I ate there a few weeks ago and loved it. The food and atmoshphere were wonderful and Sergio was great. Highly recommended.

Another one is Ponte Vecchio, just adjacent to Notre Dame. The owner is from Sardinia and the food is wonderful. Only a few tables.

We loved Ponte Vecchio so much we went back for our last night in Paris. The view of the cathedral at night is just breathtaking. (We were there when the trees were bare....is the view as good in summer?).

Did you have the eggplant appetizer....mmmmmmm!

Castafiore at 51-53 rue St. Louis en l'Ile is a fine Italian restaurant on the Ile St. Louis (co-owned by an ex-pat American). If you're in an &quot;anything but French&quot; mood, this will satisfy you greatly.

Does anyone know the address for this Ponte Vecchio restaurant? I can't find it on the net?!

Ponte Vecchio is very easy to find. It's across the quai from the Pont Archveche. From the back of Notre Dame simply cross the bridge to the Left Bank, look slightly to your right and there it is.
