oh so sad-we only travel with a carry-on for two weeks now. You make me want to go back to my huge checked bag!

In July, I noticed that Laduree macaroons are now available at CDG once one gets past security when I was traveling to my connection to Geneva to Montreal. I had already brought some with me that I purchased the evening before at the restaurant/ store. Now I wish that I had bought more, those ones did not last very long once I was at home! :)

Please......Please Ladies. They are Macarons ! Not Macaroons or anything like them.

And I do not like them.

I noticed there is a Laduree available at CDG. I will be going there!

I just returned from Paris and found powdered piment d'espelette at the Bon Marche. Also, if you are interested in the pottery jars of Edmond Fallot dijon or grain mustard from Beaune, I found them at CDG airport - the 9 ounce jar of grain mustard was 5.80 euros which I think is a little less than the price I saw at Franprix. I bought them there because I did not want to worry about them breaking in my luggage if I bought them in Paris and had to pack them in my checked bag. Buying them at the airport duty free allowed me to just carry them on. They have larger sizes available too.

Isn't mustard a liquid or a gel or some other forbidden consistency? Or is graininess enough to keep it from exploding? ;<)

I am officially drooling all over my keyboard! I will be leaving for Paris on the 30th and I think my first stop is going to be for macarons. We always bring back enough mustard to last us about a year, then have to go back to France for more.

I use my violet mustard on my smoked salmon.
and mixed with lavende honey to baste my chicken.

Peabody - yes mustard is forbidden, but if you buy it after security at the duty free, you can bring it on -- as long as you are not on a connecting flight. If you are on a connecting flight, they will tell you to put it in your checked luggage after you go through customs and before you go back through security. Since we were on a direct CDG-DFW flight, I had no problems.

I bought a gel for pain in Paris called
VoltarenActigo but there is not ibuprofen listed.

Be careful buying things at food markets by the locals. A friend bought all in the office some homemade jellies, etc. and had to leave them all in customs.
