Grape Stomping in Tuscany

Does anyone know if there is grape stomping in Tuscany? My girlfriend and I will be in the area on August 13th and 14th and she has always been fascinated with it. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Pleas tell me the two of you do NOT look like Lucy and Ethel!!!!

There are a lot of organized tours to the area which include the experience (Google it and you'll find them) mso I suspect you may be able to do it on your own as well

Dukey, that's the first thing I thought of when I read the post heading. That was such a funny episode - one to remember! Are we showing our age here???

Selbuts4, sorry but I don't have info about this. It does sound as if it would a fun and interesting experience though. Hope someone here has info for you.

Happy stomping!

The grape harvest won't be until late September/early October, depending upon when the crop ripens. ((b))

Budman is right, you abolutely won't find any grape harvest in August, plus chances of finding anyone who crushes by feet will be almost nil, this is the 21st century ya know LOL. Best to come in late September, stay at an agriturismo with a vineyard and ask the owners if you can buy some grapes from them, find a big tub, put on some mellow rock, roll up the pants and get stomping. But the result will always be a bit bitter and tannic as its impossible to get all the stems out by hand.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was early... but just wanted to check. Once again, thanks everyone.
