grandma, infant, mom/dad - Rome Vacation Help!
my mother (a young 55), myself and my husband (early 30's) and our infant son (7 months in august) are looking to enjoy a Roman holiday this august. We obviously must consider the baby and his needs including his "gear"; therefore we are not willing to do a tour with tight scheduling demands. We ARE considering a villa rental & car rental...we would like to see Rome and surrounding areas; we would like the trip to include touristy locations (vatican) as well as the "real" italy...any pointers with respect car rental/villa rental/hotel rental/tours - we would love suggestions from experts!

We loved our tour of the Vatican Musuems; our guide was so knowledgeable and animated- you would have thought she knew all of the artists personally! On our next visit, we are taking the Roma Antica tour. Can't wait.
