Grand Hotel Villa Medici in Florence
 

My husband and I booked the Grand Hotel Villa Medici in Florence for 2 nights. Has anyone stayed at this hotel that can offer any insight? Thank you.

It looks lovely, but it's a bit far from the main sights for my liking, especially when you only have one full day in the city.

What time of year will you be there?

In a couple of weeks. Are there other hotels that you would recommend?

What is your budget?

I don't know what rate you got at the Villa Medici, but look at the Hotel Lungarno. I've only stayed there in my dreams. It's near the Ponte Vecchio and has beautiful views of the river and historical center of Florence.
