Grand hotel Royal Sorrento
Has anyone stayed at the Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento? Can you tell me a little about it? My husband, me , our 1 year old and a nanny are planning a trip in July we want to be close to the town center and have a pool and nice view. Any advice would be much appreciated!

jos, I think there are a number of Royal hotels in Sorrento, which street is this one on? I stayed at the Grand Royal which is on the same street as the Lorelei and we really liked it.

SeaUrchin,<BR>Thanks for your reply. It is on the Via Correale and is one of the Manniello hotels. Do you know this one?

Hi, the Grand Hotel I stayed in is on Via Califano, an extension to Via Correale, but it is a nice area, you should be fine.

In May 2001, we stayed at the Grand Hotel Capodimonte on via capo, Sorrento. It was a lovely hotel with five connecting pools, very close to downtown (5 min. walk), and a fabulous view of the Bay of Naples. I would recommend it highly. There are more expensive hotels, but they may not give you what you want.
