Are you speaking of the Grand Flora Marriott at the top of the Via Veneto in Rome?

Yes I am,sorry for any confusion

I have, it is a nice four stars hotel, rooms are well appointed , not terribly big. Best are facing the
Villa Medici gardens.
You have to like the Via Veneto location, not my favorite although we stayed there once.

When we were in Rome this past May stayed down the street a bit but stopped in to have a look at the lobby. A lot of folks woulnd't like this location at the top of the Via Veneto but I do. We considered staying at the Flora but at $450+ per night I thought it was not worth the money.
I would advise you NOT to be put off from staying here just because it is a Marriott, because it is a "chain," and so forth. You'll know what to expect herer, and you'll get it. There are lots of chain properties to include Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Westin, etc., and I don't hear many complaints about those. And also don't be fooled into thinking that because it is a Marriott that is isn't, somehow, "Italian." That illogic just doesn't make sense...it would be like expecting Italians who come to America and stay in Marriotts here to think that their hotel wasn't "American." Hope you have a great trip regardless of where you stay.

We stayed there the first week of May and were very pleased. As said above the rooms were very comfortable and pleasant but not huge by US standards. The bathrooms were also good sized for Italy. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. They graciously made restaurant and museum reservations for us. The location isn't as bad a people say as there are very good bus connections to all parts of the city either just across the street or down via Veneto. Maybe it isn't in "cute or trendy" but it is a very nice place to stay.
