Grand Circle River Tour?

My husband and I are considering a Grand Circle Tour
from Vienna to Amsterdam on a riverboat. Has anyone had experience with Grand Circle or river cruising on the Main, Rhine and Danube?

Ijust completed (from 30 August to 6 September) a Danube river cruise from Nurnberg to Budapest, sailing through Germany, Austria and the fantastic Wachau part of the waterway, Slovakia (briefly) and Hungary on the KD line. It was utterly wonderful. I saw a great number of lines on the river at the same time --some other very nice ones and some not very nice ones, but frankly don't rememeber seeing anything from a Great Circle company. However, if you want information about the wonderful, the good and the not quite so good about the area I cruised, do e-mail me with your specific questions. Lanny

My wife and I have booked the Grand Circle cruise on the MS Symphony leaving Amsterdam on July 15th to Vienna and we are anxious to hear from someone who has done this in either direction. We will stay in Vienna for three days at that end of the trip and would like to know about that too. Thanks

We have recently completed a European Rivers Cruise on Grand Circle's River Symphony. It is a wonderful experience, fine ship, excellent food and oustanding service, For more info use E"mail contact.

How strict is Grand Circle about their minimum age of 50 requirement? My wife would like to go on a cruise with her mother but she is only 47 and doesn't know if Grand Circle will allow her to accompany her.
Thanks for the feedback
Dennis: Of course, your 47 yr old wife can accompany her mother. Dear friends of ours often travel with Grand Circle and enjoy their tours very much. They did the Danube last Sept. and are doing the Rhone this year. they had nothing but good things to say and they are people that travel frequently.
