Yes, Bedar, for me conchas finas is in itself a very good reason to go to the Malaga region. Tasted them first time a late night in La Marina twelve years ago. Turned of course immediately into an addiction ;-)

ribeira, I never suggested that Nerja is a particularly "authentic" Andalucian small town today, but it has got a quite balanced mix of Andalucian small town feel in some parts together with most amenities that comes with a tourists destination. It's an old village/town, known as Narixa by the Moors from the 8th century. And this 1910 photo of Calle San Miguel (the old town down to the left) is very recognizable and tells a story of a town that was far from created by tourism: http://www.nerjatoday.com/nerjanews/...erday-in-1910/
