Granada, Spain luggage storage question
Here's the deal: My family ends an active vacation (cycling) in Grenada, Spain mid-morning, where we are dropped off at a hotel that's supposedly near the cathedral.
We are not staying at the hotel because our flight home to US is out of Madrid the next day at around 11 a.m. The next day's morning Granada flight would get us there too late. So I'd like to stick around town to tour the Alhambra and then fly out early evening to Madrid, stay near the airport, and be ready to go. A current problem is that the tour company's actual Granada hotel arrangements are hazy (the hotel is under construction), so I don't have the hotel address or phone to see if we could store the luggage there for a fee. So, if all else fails: Where could I store our luggage??? |

This one notes that there is 24-hour luggage storage at two stations:

Thanks, Joannyc. I'll list the Aljibe de San Miguel Turkish baths as an option. At least I never intended to store it at the rail station, so knowing there's none there wasn't a crushing blow.

Our posts crossed. Interesting about those station storage areas at Sants and Estació Nord. Thanks.

The Waytostay website refers to a metro and Sants station. They are in Barcelona, not Granada.
There is probably left luggage at Granada's bus station, but that is way out of the centre, accessible by bus or taxi. |
I've heard that there are lockers at the bus station in Granada. The airport shuttle does stop at the bus station, so you could probably pick up your luggage on your way to the airport without much of trouble.
Also, there are lockers at Alhambra, around the ticket office, next to restrooms. By the way, there's a mistake on the linked website joannyc provided. The webiste says Granada, but the info is all about Barcelona. |
Thanks Geoff and Hamer. I had just found a decent bus map of Granada and thought, "Maybe if I plopped luggage here, we could ride around for the next zillion hours and then just head out to the airport." So thank you for two more possibilities--Alhambra lockers and bus lockers.

So sorry about the bad link... I googled "Granada luggage storage" and that came up. Had no idea that it mistakenly refers to Barcelone when it says Granada all over its site!
Sorry! |
no problem, Joannyc
