Granada hotel recommendations - URGENT!

A call to all Fodorites! I'm having trouble finding a hotel in Granada: not sure which part of town to stay in. Can you suggest an attractive, confortable, centrally located hotel in the 80 - 130e range (single)? I like charm rather than chain... Need to book SOON! Thanks all! LouAnne

Did you try the Hostal America?

Best area would be a hotel in the old arab quarter.

Look no further than Casa de los Migueletes - an absolute gem of a hotel in a 17th century merchant's house. You can check prices on expedia. Might be in your price range if you're not going in high season.

I second the recommendation for Casa de los Migueletes. Great location, right where the newer part of town meets the Albaicin, at the bottom of the steep hill that leads up to the Alhambra.

We spent 3 days there in May. Both our room and that of the couple travelling with us were on the smallish side, but clean and nicely furnished. All members of the staff were very kind, and helpful with restaurant recommendations, tours, etc.

Hi-
I very much liked the Hotel Guadalupe, right across from the entrance to the Alhambra. It's under 100 euro a night for a double and very convienant for visiting the Alhambra.
