Granada cave dwellings

Jump to last reply

I've booked a Cuevas el-Banico cave house In the Sacramonte in Granada for 3 nights in May. They sound so unique and wonderful...get GREAT reviews. But I can't seem to get sound information on how long and how steep the uphill climb is to get to them. I've read that there are now minivans that go part of the way, but still can't tell what is left! ( I keep imagining getting all the way down and hearing "I thought YOU had the Alhambra tickets!!)

We are seniors, but are used to doing hill climbs and loads of stairs in Europe,, but many times a day could be a bit much if the climb is extreme. Reviewers really downplay the effort involved. I'm hoping that one of you "expert advisors" has first hand knowledge on these houses. I CAN cancel the reservation, but really want the experience if not too crazy.

Time is getting short for my final decision,,,,,
