graceland walking shoes?

There are shoes made in germany I believe the brand is called graceland. I was wondering if any one has ever had a pair of their walking shoes and what they thought about them. I'm going to Europe for 3 weeks summer and looking for something thats both stylish and comfy to replace my big 'ol Nike Shocks! Thanks :)

I never get people wanting walking shoes. If you are hiking up a mountain or running or doing something sports orientated then you need specialist footwear. However, for simple tourist walking around a city any sensible shoes will do. I never, ever wear trainers. Rubber soled sports styled shoes (Dior Homme do very nice quality leather ones, as do Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, and Prada Sport - but that's a little chav these days) are comfortable. Or well made leather soled shoes - just as comfortable in my opinion, and in fact I might even go as so far as saying they are even more comfortable.

Chav? Do tell.......I wouldn't want to be chav and not know it.

M-kingdom-2 uses SLANG!! I am SHOCKED!!

Here is Googles 2 cents:

Chav is a slang term which has been in wide use throughout the United Kingdom since 2004. It refers to a subcultural stereotype of a person with fashions such as flashy "bling" jewellery and counterfeit designer clothes, an uneducated, impoverished background, a tendency to congregate around places such as fast-food outlets or other shopping areas, and a culture of antisocial behaviour.

In the past such people have been called yobs. Response to the term has ranged from amusement to criticism that it is a new manifestation of classism.

I usually wear pretty high heels - and only have trainers for the gym - but I found Aerosoles that look like Tod's loafers - but 1000 more comfortable. They look smart, they're a joy to wear and I can walk 12 hours in them.

I have them in a few colours - they come in summery colours and dark colours - in fact about 20 colours. Fantastic!

Chav is such a useful word though. It describes a lot of people in Britain today. Far too many in fact. We should export them somewhere far away, perhaps the French would care for them!

I agree the word is useful. All over the world!

(initially I opened the thread thinking it was posted on the wrong forum, must be about Elvis)

There's a new-ish shoe that is 1/2 Cole Haan and 1/2 Nike Air you might look into. For both men and women.

Thanks suze, I have been looking at cole haans! I was just curious if anyone knew anything about the graceland brand.
