GPS restaurant guide

If you travel with a GPS, you can do the community a service by marking the location of a meal that you liked. Restaurant, street vendor, railway kiosk - makes no difference. Just record the site's latitude/longitude and add it to the Foodieland Map when you get home.

(Obviously, you could just write down the address, but geolocation is easier and less prone to ambiguity when telling Google where to put the placemark.)

Hi Robes,
Please help me. I clicked on the link you posted and got a picture of the Atlantic Ocean (trench and all).
How do I move from there to "Foodieland Map"?
Your suggestion is fantastic but you are dealing with first time GPS locaters here! I don't know how to even enter the co-ordinates onto my Garmin - Patience or advice is very welcome!

Zoom out (click the - sign on the scale at left). If you click on the bottom end of the scale, you get the entire world.

I don't speak Garmin, but I believe most GPSs have the functional equivalent of "Mark where I am right now."

You can locate any spot on the planet with maps.google.com by entering the latitude/longitude, such as 41 43 57N 49 56 49W

My Garmin (nuvi 670) definitely has an option of entering coordinates as a location.

Great idea, but how the heck do I add to the map? When I typed in the coordinates I got a Google Earth view of the Budapest Food Hall but couldn't find a way to add it to Foodieland.
