GPS for Europe

Hi, We are coming to London and Paris for two weeks. I want to purchase a GPS that will worki on the underground. Meaning it will tell us what stop to get off at. Ever heard of this?
Thanks,
Jodi

This is not possible.

The system is called AGPS and is available on many WCDMA phones. When the satellites aren't available it locates your position using data from the next 2 (better 3) mobile phone transmitters. It's not very accurate in the subway, but it works. I wouldn't rely on it ;-)

I didn't want to go down this road, but Logos is right, it is possible, but not with just a GPS receiver.

Just look at the map in the tube or metro - then look at the sign in the station - then hop out!

Why do you need GPS on the subway?

I stand corrrected. I just spoke to her, she wants it to tell her what subway to get on for each destination.
