GPS Coordinates for towns/parking in Tuscany
 

Based on a helpful Forum comment while planning my recent trip to Tuscany, I preloaded GPS coordinates for a few hill-town parking lots. I thought these may be of interest to others (all outside ZTL areas!):
o VOLTERRA Parking by the Roman Amphitheater: 43.404455,10.858301
o SAN GIMIGNANO Parking at "Piazzale Martin Montemaggio": GPS 43.464741,11.041399 (this one was full the day we went, so we drove past this lot and followed the “P” signs to another one!)
o MONTERIGGIONI Parking: 43.387983,11.225066
o MONTEPULCIANO Parking at north end of town (limited free white-lined places): 43.098022,11.785259; South end of town, Parking Lot #8 has more free spaces: 43.089431,11.778443
o PIENZA: 43.07852,11.68036
o CIVITA BAGNOREGIO Parking under the pedestrian bridge: GPS: 42.627012,12.110989
o ORVIETO Parking behind the train station : 42.725247,12.127876

RESTAURANTS WITH A VIEW:
Although we ended up not going to the following towns, these RESTAURANTS were suggested on the Forum for a good meal with outdoor seating and a view. ( Now that I’ve been to Tuscany, I realize asking for suggestions on places with outdoor seating was naïve…many, many places have this option! )

I will do a full trip report next week. Now, after months of planning & traveling, my family wants to see me come out from behind my computer!
