GPS

Jump to last reply

We have borrowed a GPS the past few years when traveling in Europe but it is not available this trip. so, is it best to buy one from the US before we depart or buy one when in France.I know if we buy one here we will need to pay to download European maps and vice versa if we buy in Europe we will need to download US and Canada maps.
we went to look at the GPS today and it looks like Garmin and Tom Tom are the 2 choices. the one we borrowed was TomTom but at the store the gal said Garmin is more popular. We are looking for the easiest to operate. what is your experience with the two choices?
