"Gotta see" in London

My earlier posting was my first--I see that I need to be more specific! Thanks for the recommendations on money--all set! What suggestions does anyone have for itineraries/bus tours of the "gotta see" sights in London (the Eye, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, etc). Our hosts have had many visitors and may not want to redo visits to these. I wouldn't mind walking a lot but I think my older companion might tire more quickly. Ideas? Anyone been on any good bus tours of London?

This one has real commentators. The one I went on had a canned tour you listened to with headsets.

Check out the London Walks also. They're quite good.

I second London Walks. Someone recommended it to me on Fodor's and it "made" my trip to London (and environs, because there are also trips out of London to many other places, including Bath, Oxford, Stonehenge, St. Albans, etc.). There were quite a few older people on the walks, and we just adjusted the pace. We didn't run anyway. We took our time.

We enjoyed day trips to Windsor Castle (train trip) and Hampton Court (take boat one of the ways, train the other)and found the Cabinet War rooms to be fascinating (go early before the crowds arrive). We also enjoyed our trip to Greenwich and the sights of: 1) Cutty Sark; 2) National Maritime Museum; and 3) the Royal Greenwich Observatory.

My answer depends on one's taste.

A Play.

I looked over the Original tour video. Great idea. I'm going to London with my family in August I expect the queues will be longer.

Before my first trip to London, I researched a great deal. There are many other things that I like, but the must sees that I came up with were:

Tower oF London
Tower Bridge (not the tour just visit the bridge)
West End shows
Saint Paul's Cathedral
British Museum
Thames ferry ride
Westminster Abbey
British Museum
London Walks
Pubs

Having been there for a couple of one week visits, The only one that I would remove from that list is Saint Pauls.

I would now add:

Trafalgar Square

Have a great time!

Whatever you do, skip Madame Toussaud's Wax Works.

I know that by law I'm supposed to hide my head in shame, but we found Madame Taussaud's to be a great experience. I loved it and found it fascinating.
