Hey, another one originally from Washington DC, USA.

Now in Northern California (Lake Tahoe area and a snow storm is on the way) by way of Virginia, Japan, Southern California, Taiwan, Hawaii, and the San Francisco Bay area. A lifelong travel nut.

Another "Mile-Higher" (Denver) originally, then early adulthood Brest, France. Next 20 years Wild Wyoming and the most recent five in "the Last Frontier", Alaska. And Yes, I envy those on the East Coast who can get to Europe so easily!!

I was born in Fargo, North Dakota, but have also lived in Montana, and spent much of my life in Spokane, Washington, which is where I'm living since I retired. I lived two years in Japan, five years in Germany, and twenty-five years in Sacramento, California.

One more Georgian! I had no idea we Georgians were so well represented.

I have lived in the metro-Atlanta area for the past eight years. I was born and grew up in a small town in Southeastern Georgia.

Such a hard question for some to answer! Is it where you were born? Where you grew up? Where your parents are from? Where you spent most of your kid life? Your adult life? Achh....

I live in Philly now (for 3 years - a wonderful city) - but was born in Switzerland, grew up in Lebanon (Beirut), have lived in many places, including within the U.S. Have lived adult life between U.S. and Lebanon...Would love to settle in Europe (Paris or Switzerland). I have an accent in every language I speak, so not sure where I'm from! Probably many war kids are in the same boat.

Husband is easy: 100% Arizona born and bred with roots in Iowa. But would equally LOVE to live in Europe!

I rarely contribute to the site but read it religiously..just to remind myself there is another world out there. Born in D.C., raised in New Jersey in a charming little town near NYC, many years lived in NY and then Connecticut; then Texas, Florida, Chicago, back to Texas and finally exhausted by all the moves, I relocated to Honduras and have been here six years. A wonderful country but dismally poor so I try to travel once every few years - London this coming June to escape the oppressive heat here that time of year. One of the benefits of living abroad is that my children are all completely bilingual and bicultural. Helps them in their travels as they can adjust rapidly to whatever they encounter.
