Has anyone heard of the company"Go realeurope.com". We are considering using them for a trip to Vienna and Prague. It is pretty much private touring, as you are on your own most of the time. They take care of the reservations to a certain extent.

From a quick look at the site it sounds like they give you maps and sightseeing information and you're on your own. I don't see any mention of a guide.
I could not see pricing unless I created an itinerary.
I don't understand why this would be helpful. A guide book explains sights and give information on bus and train travel and gives maps with sights/restaurants marked.
Local tourist offices are very helpful and give you maps and direct you to sights.
How much are you paying and what advantage would this give you.
Vienna and Prague are not huge cities and the sights you'll want to see are contained within a reasonably small area. You can always stop someone and ask for directions if you're unsure of the way. The "detailed, point-to-point directions" you get from the info packet are only good if you do not deviate from your itinerary. If you swap sight 3 with site 1 then you're out of luck for the day. This leaves no opportunity for spontaneity. You won't be able to look down a street and say "this looks interesting - let's take a look" and then explore an area not on your itinerary.
In Vienna you can get the book Vienna A to Z. All sights mentioned in the book have an emblem above their doors indicating they're included in the guide book.
If you have no interest in reading ahead about Vienna and Prague and no interest in deciding for yourself what sights interest you then have someone plan your trip.
It's your money and I'll not tell you how to spend it. If you feel that the gorealeurope packet of information is helpful then buy it.
If they're booking hotels for you I would be careful of where they put you. You don't want to be too far from the action.

I agree with everything adrienne said. And more to the point, the first thing that comes up when you click on the link is "This domain may be for sale." Do you want to give your money to some outfit that may be going out of business and that doesn't offer you anything you can't easily arrange on your own?

Agree - don't see what they give you that is more than you can get from any guide book. If they are harging you for that - it's a rip off. They have to make money on the hotels - which means you are probably paying more than you would on your own - and who knows what hotel they put you in.
IMHO one of the most important factors in any trip to europe is the exact location of the hotels.
Not something I would consider - since either city is easy to get around on foot - or via public transit - with a basic map.
