Goodbye Cardiff hello Bath!

After five years of great weekends in Cardiff our visits are over. My daughter has graduated and moved to Bath.
As luck would have it Bath is as far from here as Cardiff and so we are still unlikely to roll into town much before 10 on Friday night.
Our first visit is scheduled for this weekend. Any recommendations please for good places to eat at that time of night?
With thanks

Hi Frances - Not sure what time they stop serving but one of my favourite places is 'Mai Thai' (- if you like Thai food) on Pierpont St.

We've eaten at The Hole In The Wall at the top of Milsom St and the Loch Fyne Seafood Restaurant also on corner of Milsom= both fine! I love The Moon and Sixpence but I think it's still closed for refurbishment. Bath is a wonderful city- you are sure to enjoy your weekends there.

Thank you both so much- I thought I was going to starve!
We're off tomorrow so I'll let you know next week how we got on.

Reporting back. On our first night my daughter had found a Thai restaurant called "Yum Yum Thai" which was open late. We were the only ones there but the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. As we left at about 11p.m. I didn't see any other restaurant still open so something to watch out for I think. If you have the chance to choose- go early.
On Saturday we ate at the Fish Works at 6 Green St Bath. This was very good and I'll go here again. I will actually go to Yum Yum Thai again but the two places were a different experience. The phone No for the Fish Works is 01225448707.
We stayed at Weston Lawn BandB in Weston about 20 minutes walk from the city centre. This was lovely. We had the cottage with a kitchen cum sitting room and breakfast (which was good) in the house. We paid £85 through laterooms but the price is less if you book direct. I think that all the other rooms are less anyway. The phone no. is 01225 421362
