good website listing cyber cafes?
Is there a good website to find cyber cafes in Italy and France; one that's been updated since 1997?

As far as I know, http://www.netcafeguide.com/ is reasonably up todate - - I have never found faulty information there - - although these places come and go pretty freely in some cases.

Many more listed at

http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/
Shopping_and_Services/Communication_and_Information_Management/
Internet_and_World_Wide_Web/Internet_Cafes/Web_Directories/

(Broken into three lines - - you have to piece it back together).

Best wishes,

Rex
This looks like a promising site:
www.cybercafe.com

Don't worry about being able to find a cybercafe in Italy and France, Ethan. They're everywhere and not expensive. I printed out a list (have no idea where I found it) before our last trip and didn't ever need to refer to it.

to the top for Ethan
Do many of these places let you hook your own laptop into their internet connection? Do they have T1? Will a standard ethernet card connector work? Any such place in Rome?
Sometimes there are a lot of cybercafes to choose from. The bigger ones offer a choice of keyboards. QWERTY AZERTY I'm not sure how many other standards exist. Worth asking about.
I am pretty sure I saw someone hook up a laptop to a computer at Net House in Venice. But it could have just been to transfer files to their computer, for some purpose (upload?)

There is another thread on this just today.

About the connecting up thing, I mean.
I have always used cybercafe.com.
