Good service from Shuttle-inter

A few weeks ago I asked for recommendations for shuttle companies to transport 18 people from CDG to Paris Marriott Rive Gauche. We went with Shuttle Inter both ways and they were there on time and the service was good. I would definitely use them again and do recommend them. I did see on their website that they offer other shuttle services and destinations as well. Good service should be recognized.

I used this company last month for a group of 20--both to our hotel and back to the airport. They provided excellent service for us as well.

I have used them for several years and 2 to 3 times a year. Always excellent service.

I do know that last summer there were a few complaints. Because I know them so well, and they know me..I sent them an email about it and asked what happened. The busy time of the year and they had hired some people who just did not work out well. Bad for everyone. This can happen.

I will continue to use them..

My husband and I found this company to be unreliable and would never consider using them again.

Due to the many positive experiences detailed on this website, we decided to give Shuttle-Inter a try on a recent trip to Paris, (late March into April).

After emailing the company, I received prompt confirmations for our transportation from CDG to Paris and back again on departure day. A couple of days before we left for Paris, I emailed again to re-confirm everything but never heard back from them. We weren't too concerned because it has always been easy to get a taxi at CDG. If no one showed up, we had nothing to lose.

The airport was absolutely mobbed when we arrived, (lots of high school & college students on spring break), and there were an extraordinary number of drivers holding up signs. We finally spotted "our" sign, and the driver immediately took care of pushing the luggage cart out to the car, loaded everything up and we enjoyed a peaceful ride into rainy Paris. While being met by someone holding a sign isn't important to us, it was very nice to have help with the bags and know a car was waiting there for us, especially after traveling for almost 24 hours. We decided we were glad we tried Shuttle-Inter.

After unloading our bags at the hotel, our driver assured us that he would return for us at 8am on the morning of our departure.

You can probably guess what happened.

No one from Shuttle-Inter showed up. After waiting for well over an hour, our hotel called a taxi to take us to the airport. We encountered a lot of traffic on the way, which was stressful, because we had already lost over an hour of time before our flight as it was. Fortunately, everything turned out fine, time-wise, but you never know how busy the airport will be and worrying about whether your ride will show up isn't a good way to start the trip home!

By the way, we emailed the company days before our departure date to re-confirm, and, as before the trip, received no response.

We then asked our hotel to call Shuttle-Inter for us to re-confirm. No one answered the phone, so our hotel left a message. We decided to have faith - surely this highly lauded company would send someone to pick us up as promised. If not, we would ask the hotel to call a taxi for us.

The morning of our departure, when we had waited almost 30 minutes with no sign of anyone from Shuttle-Inter, we asked the hotel to call the company for us. No one answered the first time, so a message was left. The second time, ( a few minutes later), someone did answer, the confirmation information was provided yet again, and our hotel was told that the driver was on his way.

Another 30 minutes went by. No driver appeared. The hotel called again. No one answered. The hotel manager informed Shuttle-Inter that we would be taking a taxi to the airport.
We then had to wait for the taxi. Needless to say, we had plenty of time to change our opinion of this company.

I have heard nothing from Shuttle-Inter, by the way. No apology for abandoning us and for telling our hotel someone would be right there. Not too reputable, in my opinion.

brioche--Same thing happened to us last summer with Shuttle Inter. Except they were not there upon arrival either. That took several phone calls before they showed up. We verbally reconfirmed our pick up for departure as well as an email that week and were still left. Joan, above, I think is talking about my experience. Too bad Shuttle Inter didn't have the decency to talk to ME about MY experience. They actually had the nerve to email me and say their driver was there and we were not. I responded with the facts and never heard back. Not an apology or anything, yet they will discuss this with other customers...

Well, Maybe the reason stated by GraceJoan3 explains some of the mix ups last summer. Let's hope that's all in the past, because they were good in the present.

Fodorite018 Apr 20th, 2010 11:53 AM

Well that doesn't explain what happened to Brioch earlier this month. I just don't understand why a company would discuss the situation with someone besides the actual customer.

gracejoan3 Apr 20th, 2010 12:06 PM

I don't recall them discussing with me any particular incident. I contacted them because there were several who had problems about the same time last summer. I only asked the general question of a whyfore of their problems. Nothing was discussed with me about any one happening.

We used Shuttle Inter in late May from CDG to Paris and back. Our plane was 1/2 hour late in arriving, but a Shuttle -Inter rep was still there with our name on a placard. It only took about 10 minutes for him to have a driver pull up and take us on our way. On the return trip to CDG, the driver showed up at our apartment exactly on time. We handled each leg by email and the responses were very quick, usually within the same day. Both drivers were professional and spoke english. 55 Euros from CDG to Paris and 50 Euros for the trip back (plus tip). All in all, couldn't be more satisfied, and would use them again.
