Try these sites, although it's hard to find anything cheap.

Cab Inn for Copenhagen - although it's not really that cheap.

http://www.copenhagen-hotels.se/

Try the Best Western site. They sometimes have reasonable deals for 3 nights for the price of 2.

For Copenhagen B&Bs, try here:

Try www.hotelscombined.com to get some ideas of cheap rates on other sites.

Nothing is really cheap in Scandinavia, but Scandic hotels are found throughout Scandinavia and are reasonably priced.

I have stayed at the Scandi Webbers in Copenhagen and others in Sweden. The Webbers is close (2 blocks) from the train station and 4 blocks or so form Tivoli Gardens. I walked to Stroget, the main shopping area. Breakfast is included in the rate. Copenhagen is a great family city - be sure to take a boat tour of the harbor.

We stayed at the Hotel Nebo last May,a few steps from the railway station. Choice of different types of rooms, we had a simple room with two beds and a washbasin and used the bathrooms down the hall.We never had to wait as we didn't see a sole using them, always very clean. Great breakfast too. Lots of business people using the hotel and it had a lift!

Priceline - the 'name your own price' type. You won't regret it, but it takes some learning. There is much info on how to use it on these forums and on biddingfortravel.com.
