Good B&Bs in Kilkenny, Dingle & Ennis??
OK I am officially addicted to planning our Ireland trip and to these forums.
My husband and I are going to Ireland for a week in May (6 nights). We fly into Dublin and out of Shannon. We're spending the first night in Dublin, then heading to Kilkenny (1 night), Dingle (2 nights) and Ennis (2 nights). Does anyone have recommendations for good B&Bs / hotels in these towns?
Our priorities are: 1) walking distance to town / pubs, 2) relatively quiet (if that's possible with #1
, 3) comfortable and clean, 4) really good food, 5) moderate price.
Thanks once again for your advice!

I found out about Emlagh Lodge in Dingle on these forums and can't recommend it enough. I was there two and a half years ago and the rates were very reasonable; it's five minutes' walk to the middle of town, but quiet as well. Breakfasts were yummy.
In Ennis we stayed at Glenomra House, which was fine. It was a longer walk to the center of town - maybe 15 minutes - but walking distance nonetheless.

For Kilkenny, we really liked Avila B&B. http://homepage.eircom.net/~avilakilkenny/ Breda was a great host - nice, and very helpful. Made some great restaurant recommendations, and even helped out with B&B reservations on our next stop near Kinsale. It's about a 10 minute walk from center of town, but the rooms are pretty sizeable, including a decent sized bathroom! Good breakfast, too. I think the distance from town helped it to be a bit less noisy, too.
For Dingle, we really liked Cill Bhreac House http://www.cillbhreachouse.com Nice rooms, good food, decent walk into town.

In Kilkenny last April, we stayed at the Abbeylodge B&B. It was about a 5 minute walk to the town center, yet it was in a very quiet location. The hostess was great with her recommendations of what to see and do and where to eat and we enjoyed the breakfasts very much. Our room was very good and we thought the rate was moderate (40 Euros per person per night, as I recall).

Here's another 'A' place in Kilkenny - Alcantra B&B. The location was about 3 blocks from the castle in town centre. The hostess made her own preserves and they were delicious! Clean and comfortable...
