golf trip in UK and Ireland

My husband is going on a two week golfing trip in England and Ireland and I wanted to put together a first aid kit for him. I don't have any serious travel concerns for him, but it has been a long time since I have been out of the country. I was thinking pain killers(tylenol), bandaids, etc. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your help. Happy traveling this summer!

Hi Solg,

The main pain relief ingredient in Tylenol is Acetaminophen. This is know in both the UK & Ireland as Paracetamol.

It is available over the counter in all chemists and supermarkets.

Bandaids are also widely available.

Just have him take whatever OTC pain reliever he normally takes (if any), maybe a small packet of bandaids (called plasters in England), and possibly some moleskin if he is liable to blisters.

But he is going to the UK and Ireland afterall -- all those things are readily available in any city, town, village.

Solg-

The menfolk like those golfing trips to the UK and Ireland, don't they? Yeek! My menfolk won't go anywhere but there for an overseas holiday with their crew! (For the record, the menfolk I know give an edge to the Irish experience over the British, but will take them both, anytime!)

Cambe's suggestion is a very good one: The corrolate to Tylenol overseas is Paracetamol. I would think maybe some sore muscle Ben-Gay type ointment might be useful to take as well, simply because those type of OTC preparations cost more over there.

But yes, all those things can be bought most everywhere in both the UK and Ireland.

Dont worry about putting a first aid kit together for your hubby, unless he has specific needs, he will be able to purchase everything he needs here. The biggest reminder he needs is to bring you back something nice :)

Hey the UK / Ireland aren't the Third World.

Sometimes it feels like it is galiano
