Golf in Andalucia

We're spending a week in Almeria, 2 days in Gibralter and 3 in Malaga. My husband is trying to decide whether to bring his golf clubs or not. He's a good golfer, about a 10 handicap and is looking for a bit of a challenge. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I am not a golf palyer so I cannot tell you more than what I read or see.
There is a golf court near Algeciras, call "Valderrama" this is where one of the latest Ryder's cup was played in Europe and is supposed to be very good and challenging. Smaller holes?
Then on the road between Malaga and Estepona I understand there are more than 100 golf courts. I don't know if the figure is correct or if all of them are the right size, but for sure there are many.
By the way unless you have some Business to do, 2 days in Gibraltar, are two much for me.

It would be nice to play Valderrama (San Roque): since you're spending the lions share of your time in Almeria it might be better to check out the local courses (there are 5-or-6). Mojacar looks to be the nicest but it appears that all are 'Parkland' courses (i.e., no 'links' layouts).

After having played some of Ireland's best links courses, I guess I must be spoiled.

Thanks all, for your help. I'll give the website to my husband and let him make a decision on the golfing. After all, he's letting me make all the other decisions :)
