Golden Air Shuttle Service

Hotel Muguet gave me this shuttle van for service from CDG.

Has anyone used them. They are a little higher than some others, but not overly so.

This seems a less expensive option than a taxi and we really don't want to take a bus from the airport.

Thanks

Since no one seems to have any info on this shuttle service, I think I should look elsewhere. These days, who is the most reliable?

We used them to go to CDG without a problem. Our hotel booked them, they arrived on time and got us to the airport. The van was clean and the driver appeared to drive safely and was nice. I would use them again based on my experience 2 years ago.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback

If this is the service recommended by Hotel Muguet, you can be sure that it's the one they've found to be the most economical, reliable, and pleasant overall.

Have used this service and can definitely recommend it. The van arrived to pick me up in plenty of time. The driver was friendly and the ride, thank God, was not the hair-raising experience offered by other shuttle services.

Some of those drivers are absolute fiends who manage to send you into cardiac arrest while totally ignoring your existence.

I enjoyed the Muguet, too, taking shelter there after fleeing an apartment fold-out bed from hell.

There'd been some talk here about the owner, allegedly a bit of a she-bear, but all my interaction was with Jacqueline at the front desk and she was consistently gracious.

In fact, when I staggered into the place directly from the wretched apartment, with only a wild look of desperation and no reservation, Jacqueline immediately gave me what I do believe was the best bed in the house.

"Croque_Madame" love your references. Have you written a trip report? I'll bet it is very entertaining. Did you take Golden Air from the airport as well? Our last trip (3 years ago), we took a taxi to the hotel, but took a shuttle to the airport. I was convinced I would miss the plane. We made so many stops-- including one to change drivers!!!
My dealings with Catherine thus far have been fine, and I have had numerous communications since some of my traveling party have dropped off. So far so good. We are staying in the Muguet apartment, but will go to the hotel to pick up the keys. Still have not found anyone on this forum who has stayed in the apartment, but it looks lovely on the website.
Based on your, "parisonmymind2" and "djkbooks comments, I will reserve. Thanks very much

Linda

Logistical ( probably dumb) question:
I have now reserved the shuttle to and from the airport on Golden Air.
The instructions state to call the toll free number they provided upon arrival.
This is the dumb part-- Are there pay/ public phones at CDG that we will be able to use? Or, should we use our T-mobile cell phone ( which I hope will work once it finds a signal). I would think I would still incur a charge for the latter.

I am asking this because the very few pay phones left in NYC never work and I never see anyone on them.

Thanks for any insights

Linda

If you are picking up bags, there are plenty of phones nearby - you can't miss them.
