Since I counldn't post any new messages on my original thread (don't know why this is the case), I deceided to start a new one.
Thanks to all who have responded. I am looking forward to my trip.

Did you decide where to stay?

Fodors froze your other thread - probably because a couple of "I must have the last word" Fodorites turned it into a spitting match.

So now you have started a new thread - were you looking for more advice/suggestions, or was this just a "thank you"?

WillTravel, I am planning on staying at the Tiquetonne or the Hotel Sainte Marie. I will also look at the website you have suggested for information on the walking tours.

Hi, I'm glad that you decided on a hotel. If I exacted a "victory" it was Phyrric, as I was "involuntarily exiled." But there're many able and knowledgeable people here who can help.
