Hi cls2paris. I could pretty much understand your card and I thought "wow, this would certainly get the waiter's attention"!! LOL. I thought your card was terrific.

There has only been one time in Italy that I had a problem. The chef had added cream to a tomato based sauce (guess he wanted to experiment that day) and the waiter did not know it.
My friends in Italy had even talked to the waiter to make sure he understood me. And he did. So it was not our lack of communication but the lack of the communication from the chef.

I really understand your sadness at not being able to eat seafood (I love it too) as I want to cry sometimes because I cannot eat the wonderful cheese in Italy.

Just know that you will get use to this problem. Honest! And try to look at it this way. People that cannot eat wheat have a bigger problem than you or I do. And people with diabeties really have to be careful etc.
