Going to Prague in November
I am going to Prague in November for a week. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for anything and everything--ranging from places to eat to day trips to take.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi, I am interested in fine dining, cute cafes. I am not roughing it but I am not a millionaire either. I have just purchased the Fodor's Prague book so I will read through that to find what sites to see and I always like their food suggestions but I thought I would see what other ideas where out there. Thanks for your reply!

hi, rainy,
we found that the food in Prague was pretty stodgy in the main- great hunks of meat with potatoes, bread, bread dumplings, potato dumplings...
The two places we came across that were different, were the restaurant in the city hall [we ate downstairs which was rather rustic, but upstairs looked more sophisticated] and the restaurant attched to the opera, which was much more refined.
as we were there for just 3 nights, we had no time for day trips. loved the museums, the opera, the cafes, the puppet theatres,...
have a great time,
regards, ann

We had 2 really fabulous dinners in Prague
One at V Zatisi which is right by the Charles Bridge. http://www.vzatisi.cz/en/zatisi_index.php
The other was at Le terrior not too far from V Zatisi. http://www.leterroir.cz/

we had one great meal last week- the restaurant is called Larry Furry- the spelling of the last name might be wrong, but the hotel new what we were looking for. they specialize in skewers- they are about 2 feet long, and hang from above as you are eating. Mellow, James Taylor kind of guitar player. Really great night. 10 minutes Walking distance from the four Seasons

Hi Rainey,
I just got back from 30 days in Prague and just finished my trip report listing everything that I did including food, hotel and a few day trips.
You can click on my name above to take a look. It's pretty long....
My favorite "fine dining" experience was Bellevue, second was Kampa Park.
