Go-today.com to Italy
 

Has anyone ever used go-today.com for a trip to Italy? If so, would you recommend them? Also, any information on the flight times would be helpful. I am flying out of Chicago.

We used go-today to fly to Rome over Thanksgiving last year. The trip was great and everything (hotel, airport pick-up, etc..) was just as go-today said it would be. I've used them a couple times since then and haven't been disappointed yet. We flew out of DC, so I can't help you with the flights. Have a great time!

Have used them for a Paris $ Amsterdam trip and was very satisfied, particularly for the price, as all went as promised. The hotel rooms we got were clean but tiny. Would recommend you consider upgrading.<BR><BR>Regarding your flight times, you can see what airline(s) they use and review the departure times of that airline. There probably wont be many choices.

Glad to see a post about Go-Today! We just booked a trip to Rome in January, also flying out of DC. We were nervous about going with a co we were not familiar with, but pleased to see good comments since.<BR><BR>

Luke, which level of hotels did you book through go-today? I'm getting ready to book and don't know if I am making a mistake with the low level ones. Thanks

My husband and I used Go-today to Venice this past summer, and we were very pleased. We used the 3rd level hotel, because we liked the location. It was a very nice hotel. Everything about the trip went exactly as it was described.

Have priced trips several times out of DC, and each time I was able to beat the price booking everything individually by at least $300 per person.

John: I don't know when you are traveling. It definitely could not be done cheaper than Go-today when we used them last July to Venice. The tickets alone at the best rate to be found anywhere were more than the entire cost of trip including the airport add on. We always do our own, but they let us fly into Venice and out of Rome a week after our stay in Venice. After we left Venice we did it on our own until we met our Go-today flight in Rome. If you are traveling &quot;off&quot; season, perhaps you can do it for less. Be aware, that as the trip gets closer, their prices start going up. Book as early as you can.

Hi, I just booked their Rome pkg. for January. We picked the hotel Nazionale on piazza Montecitorio, in the Pantheon area. Non- stop air from JFK on Delta. This is the 5th. time we have used them. Once to London, twice to Paris and once to Brussels. They are very reliable.

I used go-today last month for first time. Booked trip to Brussels. Everything went like clockwork and as they promised. I plan on using GT again, that's for sure!

John,<BR>Used go-today.com for Paris last November, and all went smoothly (flights, pick-ups, hotels, breakfast, river cruise). <BR>We picked a hotel in the middle price range. Sometimes, you can find information about the hotel on this web site by doing a search, or on other hotel web sites. You might be able to find the hotel just by typing in it's name in your search engine. That way you could see if the location is one you want.<BR>Flights--we flew from Denver. I don't think they tell you about your flight until you've booked...at least that was out experience. But, for the price, it's hard, or impossible, to beat.<BR>Happy travels!

I don't think there's any website or any company that has the cheapest deal every time, without fail. Last winter I considered a go-today trip to London,a package deal from Londontown.com, and also priced it out on my own with separate air and hotel arrangements. My way was cheaper.<BR>I'm sure go-today has great deals sometimes, but it's not always cheaper than doing it some other way.<BR><BR>Additionally most tour companies base their prices on double occupancy with hefty single supplements for any of us who sometimes travel alone.

I just returned from the go-today's Taste of Italy tour. Everything was just as they promised. I picked the lowest level hotels and they were all clean and quite nice. The Venice hotel was superb. We did take them up on one of the day tours (Capri)they offer for additional money and the tour company they put us with was exceptional. All of the train/plane tix were exact. I give them high praise and the price was terrific.

A friend is leaving on Saturday using one of Go Today's packages; they're doing the 2-2-2 w/rail package (two nites each in Venice, Florence, Rome). He selected one of the higher options; and hotel locations look good. <BR>

My friend had a wonderful time in Italy. Went on the &quot;Taste of Italy&quot; package that included a 2 night stay in Venice (Concordia Hotel), Florence (Rivoli) and Rome (Savoy) --- this is the higher end choice of accommadations. Additionally they extended their stay in Rome for another 2 nights. I believe total cost per person was approx $1,400 (8 nights hotel, airfare, 2nd class tickets on Eurostar betwn cities &amp; a day trip to Pompeii). Their flight was on Delta Airlines.
