See if you can do a search a pull up some threads. There have been several recently, and quite a few others over the last couple of years...Not necessarily England but the company in general and other areas of Europe. The are a good company, huge, financially sound. home office in Lugano, run tours all over the world. Do you have any specific questions?

Has anyone done a tour of Ireland and The British Isles with Trafalgar Tours or taken any tours with that company anywhere? I am interested in knowing if they are a good company. Thanks

Applejack,

You might want to start your own thread to ask about Tarfalgar tours. altonttn asked about Globus.

I can't help either of you, as I've never taken a tour.

Hope you both have wonderful trips, Joan

We have taken 3 Trafalgar tours: Italy, Holland and Greece. And just returned from a Uniworld river cruise who is now owned by Trafalgar. Good company, very sound.

I did a Trafalgar tour last year to Egypt. Trafalgar treated us VERY well.

We almost booked Trafalgar for our Ireland trip, but our TA recommended CIE and we booked with them. We go next month. I actually got my docs yesterday!

I am actually happy with the CIE tour b/c we are also going to Northern Ireland and Giant's Causeway.

You can get a good idea of Trafalgar tours and communicate with a lot of people who have taken trafalgar tours by following this link: http://trafbb.com/groupee

This will take you to a bulletin board devoted solely to Trafalgar Tours.

I'm taking the www.cosmos.com tour of Ireland this summer. It is owned by the same company. They offer many optional activities, which means you get more free time if you don't do them. I never do their evening dinner tours. I'd rather find a place on my own.

I did Globus in Turkey a few years ago. They did a pretty good job, no real complaints except the standard "shop steering" you get on most tours. I am not a tour person, but for Turkey it worked out well....
