Globus London

Would like information on Globus Best of British Isles. Was wondering what do you see on the included sightseeing in London the first day of the trip? How much is included? Do you "see"from the bus, get out? We are actually going to London 5 days early and don't want to do things twice. Anything Globus does we could exclude from our own touring. Thanks

You should be able to get details direct from the tour company - but my guess is a lot of time on the bus and get off for perhaps outside of a couple of places.

NJCHOWN,
My sense is that Globus will provide a bus tour of London with few, if any stops. Presumably, you will have covered most of these spots in your five pre-tour days.

Last summer I did Globus’s THE BEST OF CORNWALL AND DEVON tour, spending several days in London beforehand. If you click on my name, you will see my TR, probably more than you want to know – especially about the many museums I took in.

What hotel does your tour start from? Are you staying there or elsewhere before the tour starts? Our started and ended at the Park Plaza County Hall not far from the London Eye. Before that, I stayed near Trafalgar Square which was most convenient to my wanderings.

You will enjoy London, so much to see and do and so little time…

When you read the descriptions of the London itinerary, do you SEE or VISIT? that is the difference of drive by or actually entering a sight.

Their website only lists one 'Visit' on that tour . . . St Paul's. So everything else would be drive by's.

Thanks everyone. Pretty much what I thought. The only thing I knew we would see on Globus was St. Pauls. I will put everything else in our 5 1/2 days. We are staying 1-2 blocks from St. Pancras/Kings Cross station so tube is close. Globus hotel is near Buck Palace and Victoria station.
