mm,

I'm thinking of taking this tour. Has was it - hotels, optionals, etc. Also, was the Uffizi gallery an option or did you have to reserve tickets yourself? I'd love to hear from you.

I am also interested in knowing if the "Italy at Leisure" tour, by Globus, offers a tour to the Uffizi. I will be visiting in about 6 weeks and would like to know if I have to make reservations on my own. Thank you.

The Starhotel Michelangelo in Florence is 1 block from the Arno, and a 20 minute walk to Piazza de la Signoria and Uffizzi Gallery. It is centrally located to explore Florence on your own. The room itself is like a standard "American" hotel room.
The Splendid Suisse in Venice is also centrally located. It is a 10-15 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. It is also a typical "americanized" hotel.
Have a great trip!
